Are you an art lover in search of a special South Florida art attraction?  Set aside some time to take a tour of the Hibel Museum of Art which is found at 5353 Park Drive, Jupiter in Palm Beach County. It is located on the John D MacArthur Campus of Florida Atlantic University at Abacoa Town Center.  Florida Atlantic University campus. This museum, opened in 1977, is unique in a way that it is the only non-profit public museum dedicated to the art of Edna Hibel, an American artist and the museum's namesake.

The museum's main purpose is to preserve the paintings, sculptures, lithography, and porcelain art of the great artist. It also offers public educational programs, exhibits in American art, Edna Hibel's art and other artwork from all over the world.

With a huge collection of art creations, the museum is a wonderful place and the educational tours are both beneficial to adults and kids. Actually, it offers comprehensive learning combined with entertainment. The kid's art room is filled with fun art which actively engages kids by helping them familiarize themselves with art work. Adults can freely explore the museum while viewing the great works of the artists, view the English glass paper weights, Italian, Asian and American furniture and a fully stocked library of art books.

The museum also holds major events and exhibitions throughout the year such as the La Ronda Collection which features works by different American and European Artists. The Victorian Children's Playthings exhbiition features different collections of Victorian dollhouses, antiques, French and German dolls, marionettes, and creche figures. In April, the museum holds the "What is it Worth? " Antiques and Collectibles day and also goes for road shows with the aim to promote the museum.
