Dance Band Night

Northshore Bandshell on Miami Beach will be the location of the Dance Band Night series.  Put on your dancing shoes and get your shake and shimmy on!  Concerts are free, with a suggested $5 donation at the door. Dance Band Night is presented with support from Baptist Health, the Miami Foundation’s Accelerator Grant and the City of Miami Beach.  From 7:00-8:00 pm there will be dance instruction to teach you the moves you'll need for the night!  From 8-10pm practice your moves or just enjoy the music and watch others dance.  Family-friendly evening that exposes the children to different musical and dance expresssions.

  • Dance Band Night: Siempre Flamenco Summer Intensive

    Thursdays in August, Dance Band Night is all about flamenco. Presented in partnership with Siempre Flamenco and Rhythm Foundation, enjoy 4 weeks of rumba, sevillanas and flamenco. Enjoy Spanish treats, wine and delicacies, vendors, and much more. Come dance flamenco under the stars with us all month long.

    7pm Happy Hour and Dance Lesson, led by Celia Fonta

    8pm Live Flamenco Ensemble featuring Paco Fonta and special guests. Renowned guitarist Paco Fernandez, direct from Sevilla, joins the ensemble Thur August 17 and 24.

    Paco and Celia Fonta are founding members of Siempre Flamenco, and have been at the center of Miami's vibrant flamenco scene for more than 25 years. In 2016, they were awarded the Florida Folk Heritage award, the state's highest honor for folk and traditional arts. With this series, they lead up to their 12th annual Festival de Cante Flamenco, which will be September 1-3 at the Arsht Center. 

    All ages are welcome! Admission is free, suggested $5 donation at the door.
