Oceanfront Park

Body

This is a wonderful ceanfront park with showers, restrooms and a newly renovated playground (it's pretty awesome now...especially compared to the monstrosity that was there before). The beach is pretty well-maintained by the city and a non-profit volunteer organization also frequently does a clean up here (Sandsifters). There's a nice shaded bench area near the parking lot that overlooks the shore. Very pleasant. Only drawback is that you get charged to park there. I'll let you in on a little "local" secret...Go a smidgen north up the street (A1A) and on your left side (west) you'll see a FREE PARKING area with shower. You can always hike over to oceanfront for free to use facilities and playground. Parking Fees:  $5 per vehicle May 1 – Nov. 15; $10 per vehicle Nov. 16 – April 30, regardless of residency.  Corporate City residents (those who reside within the corporate city limits and pay taxes to the City of Boynton Beach) may purchase an annual decal for $40 per decal. Parking permits are issued on an annual basis (valid October 1 – September 30); Non-residents may purchase a seasonal decal for $90 (valid May 1 – November 15. Decals can be purchased at City Hall or  Intracoastal Park Clubhouse. Lifeguards are on duty 7-days a week 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Parking attendants are on duty 7-days a week 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Beach Conditions: (561) 742-6775
