The Mike Machek Boy Scout Park was completely renovated as part of the 24 million dollar Parks, Recreation and Cultural Bond referendum voted on, on January 20, 2004. The Park is a little less than 5 acres and includes a playground, picnic pavilion and tables, fitness trail, bathrooms, water fountain and barbecue grills. The play areas have a minimal barrier btween it and Lake Ida road which can be heavily trafficked at certain hours of the day. Located between Trinity Lutheran School/Church and SD Spady Elementary School. The park was dedicated in 2006 to honor the memory of a nationally recognized Boy Scout Scoutmaster, Mike Machek.
