Scott Rakow Youth Center in Miami Beach is located just south of the Julia Tuttle Causeway and west of Pine Tree Drive on the island. This corner park and facility has all of the bells and whistles your family could ask for at an affordable price. Scott Rakow was a local Miami Beach police officer who died in the line of duty in 1988. This was built in memorium for him as a special place for his community of Miami Beach. This facility features a large outdoor pool, playground, 6 lanes of bowling, an ice skating rink, indoor basketball courts, and a gymnasium. Parents and kids will also enjoy the arts and crafts center, game room, media room, fitness center, multi-purpose room, music room and computer lab. Scott Rakow has it all!
If you would like some structure for your recreation, the center offers classes in hockey, ice skating, swimming, sports leagues and much more for kids and adults alike! The game room is equipped with four pool tables, three ping pong tables and a foosball table for your enjoyment.
