Hollywood North Beach Park & Dog Beach
Hollywood North Beach Park is located at Sheridan and A1A (North Ocean Drive) in Broward County. This popular 56-acre park features over a mile of shoreline to enjoy on the Atlantic Ocean, a 60-ft observation tower, pier fishing on the Intracoastal, Turtle Cafe with beachside refreshments and a handicap accessible raised boardwalk. The park has several picnic areas with grills and tables all available on the Intracoastal side of the park in the Leatherback, Green, Kemp's Riley, and Hawksbill pocket parks. The Leatherback and Hawksbill areas also include restrooms. The Loggerhead pocket park nearby also has pavilions that can be reserved for a fee with restrooms and a volleyball area. Parking on the Intracoastal side of the park is by meter either streetside or in a lot. Parking on the beach side of the park is a per vehicle fee.
The Dog Beach of Hollywood is located about 1/2 mile north on Sheridan road between Custer and Pershing. This beach is available year-round on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only. The hours vary by season as follows: November - March: 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm and April - October: 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. You muse purchase a permit to have your dog at the beach which may be bought from the ranger on site or at The Department of Recreation and Cultural Arts in Hollywood. The permit may be for day use or for a 6 month pass, residents receive a discounted rate. Please be a RESPONSIBLE dog owner and clean up after your pet! No agressive dogs allowed.
