Hot outside or kids are looking for something new to do? Put your socks on and head over to the Funderdome in Fort Lauderdale. Parents are allowed to come along for free and children from toddler age and up can enjoy an active time in the cool a.c. The Toddler Zone is a brightly colored cushioned play land filled with vehicles, shapes and puzzles. It is specially designed to be safe for the littlest ones so no big kids are allowed. Parents need to be supervising just in case little ones need assistance. If your little tyke is a climber, take him over to the Rock Climbing Wall where children age 3+ AND 48" tall can enjoy trying to scale the wall. Or, for children 4+ head over to the Ball Blaster Arena where they can launch air-propelled foam "cannon balls" through small targets at opponents. Children need supervision unless they are at least 48" tall. Children and adults of all ages will enjoy the Space Quadrant Laser Maze where you can choose from from easy, medium, difficult or expert levels for your assignment. The highlight for many older children is the Sky Trail Ropes Course where you're challenged to balance on ropes, boards and pathways suspended 22 FEET in the air! There are 7 different adventures to choose from! Other fun activities at Funderdome include the Interactive Activity Floor (like at Epcot), the 30-ft high Vertical Tower of Play & Obstacle Course, Green Monster Spiral Slide and the floating Sports Courts.
Funderdome also offers a Mommy & Me class for babies aged 6 months to 3 years old which is included in the admission price. Classes are on Monday & Thursday at 10am.
