The Riverwalk

Still partially in construction, it will measure 2.5 miles when fully completed and allows visitors to experience great views along the Intracoastal Waterway shoreline on the south of the inlet. Since 2011 it has also connected with the Eastcoast Greenway - a 3,000 mile trail between Key West and Maine.

Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum has it all. The lighthouse and the museum are located in Jupiter, Palm beach County between Hillsboro Inlet Light and the Cape Canaveral Light. It is located on a hill which is believed to be a sand dune. It was designed by George G.Maede and modified by Lieutenant William Reynolds. Its completion was done by Captain Edward Yorke in 1860. The light house is made of bricks with double masonry walls where the outer most wall is conical in shape while the other cylindrical .

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary at Loxahatchee River District

National Key Deer Refuge

The National Key Deer Refuge is a reserve established in order to protect and conserve Key deer as well as other wildlife within the Florida Keys area. Consisting of around 9,200 acres of untouched land such as freshwater wetlands, mangrove forests and pine Rockland forests, this refuge is a venue to be enjoyed and appreciated by the entire family. 



Everglades Safari Park

Everglades Safari Park was established in 1968 within the Florida Everglades National Park. Over the years it has grown to become so popular that it receives million of visitors from all over the world. It was named “Best Escape Miami 2014” by the Miami New Times during its annual “Best Of” awards. It is open from 9am to 5pm daily. Zoo Miami

The Zoo Miami, formally known as Miami Metro Zoo is located southwest of Miami, in the former site of the Richmond Naval Air Station. It is situated in southern metropolitan Miami-Dade county.  The zoo is the perfect day activity for families with young children as it houses over 2000 animals and over 100 exhibits on its massive 740 acre total land area.

Peanut Island

Peanut Island was begun as a small 10 acres island that was a product of dredging done in the Intracoastal back in 1918.  Over the years, further dredging and deposits have grown the island to over 80 acres!  A recent project in Lake Worth to produce the new Snook Islands utilized fill from this island.  This island has a historic tie to John F. Kennedy from the time of the Cuban Missle Crisis.  His bunker, as well as a Maritime Museum, can be found on the island.

Loggerhead Marine Life Center

Loggerhead Marine Life Center is located in within a 70 acres beachfront county park of the same name.  This Marine Life Center is a crucial place for education and preservation of sea turtles.   The park features fishing, nature trails, guarded beach front, and playgrounds.  The Marine Life Center is home to a sea turtle hospital and offers many educational opportunities.  They host guided tours and even can be a birthday party venue.
