Join the City of Lake Worth and the Florida District Kiwanis Club in celebrating Earth Day this year.  This event will take place at the Lake Worth Cultural Plaza downtown on April 25th.  Though the event officially starts at noon, the schedule indicates that there will be some events going on as early as 10am.

Annual Miami Riverday

The Miami River Commission presents the free 20th Annual Miami Riverday features free boat tours, historic re-enactments, environmental education, live music, children activities, and much more.  All activities are FREE at this great event.  Cheer on the kayak and paddleboard races or take a FREE riverboat ride!  Live entertainment includes:  Elastic Bond & Spam All-Stars.  Historic tours of the Lummus Historic District will take place as well as historic Miami reenactments.

Celebrate Earth Eco-Fair

City of Doral celebrates their 7th annual earth day Eco-Fair at the Downtown Doral Park. Free and fun-filled family event featuring hurricane preparedness resources, recycling, water & energy conservation as well as promoting City of Doral initiatives to ensure the community is prepared for the hurricane season.

Party for the Planet at the Palm Beach Zoo

This year the Palm Beach Zoo will celebrate Earth Day by focusing on the "One Thing" you can do EVERYDAY that can help the planet.  That one thing is...reduce the use of plastic shopping bags!  We will showcase some of the steps guests can take that will truly make a difference for animals across the globe. 

Take the #EarthDay pledge to use eco-friendly bags by signing a banner at Palm Beach Zoo on April 22. Plus, bring any grocery store plastic shopping bags you have to stuff a lifesize Florida Panther wire-frame sculpture. 

Party for the Planet

Zoo Miami's Earth Day celebration Party for the Planet will be held Saturday & Sunday April 16 & 17 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Tropical Flowering Tree Society will be hosting the world's largest flowering tree annual plant show and sale.  There will also be fun “green” activities and entertainment for the entire family as well as animal enrichment with recycled items and/or natural materials like newspapers, cardboard tubes, bamboo, old tires, fire hoses, and more.   

Baynanza

Do your part to keep beautiful BISCAYNE BAY clean at this annual Miami Dade event.  Baynanza runs for several weeks across the county and includes family-friendly activities that involve workshops, presentations, special exhibits, nature kies & tours as well as the big clean up day on April 16th.  In the past, over 40 TONS of trash and recyclable materials were collected at Baynanza with over 6000 volunteers participating.  What better way to celebrate Earth Day than giving back to our local environment with your time and care!?

EarthFest Coral Springs

To celebrateArbor Day, the City of Coral Springs will host EarthFest on Saturday, April 22 at Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  This special EarthFest will feature wildlife exhibits, guided tours, plant giveaways for Coral Springs residents, children’s activities and refreshments.  Bring along a picnic and your swimwear.  Make a day of the event!  This park has it all.

Great American Clean Up

Looking to make Palm Beach County a cleaner, greener, more livable place? Local non-profits, Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful, Inc., Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, Sandoway Discovery Center and Delray Beach Parks and Recreation encourage you to get involved in the 2017 Great American Cleanup, a national campaign organized by nonprofit Keep America Beautiful, Inc. The local cleanup will take place along Delray Municipal Beach on Saturday, April 15.
