Henry Morrison Flagler Museum
The Flagler Museum allows visitors a glimpse into past Palm Beach glamour and fame. The wonderful historic home to Henry Flagler showcases furnishings from the early 1900s. The home, White Hall, was completed in 1902. This estate was his private 75-room, 100,000 square foot winter home. Henry M. Flagler was a key figure in the development of South Florida and is known as the Father of Miami as well as the founder of Palm Beach. Aside from being a major player in the oil industries with Standard Oil, he also developed the Florida East Coast Railway. Outside the home in the Pavillion is Henry Flagler's private railcar that he used to travel the lines of his FEC railway, it was nicknamed a palace on wheels. Every year on June 5th entrance is free in honor of the founding of Palm Beach.
The Museum is closed Mondays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
