The new family-friendly North Pointe Community Center in Miami-Dade County, FL., is a great place to go for a family day out with the kids. With a wide range of activities on offer, including a massive splash playground with slides, jets, water cannons and rain curtains it's a great place to cool off! It also has a leisure pool for actual swimming if you get tired of just splashing, and a huge swimming complex with showers and public lockers, and a snack bar, for when you need to recharge after all that fun in the water.

McDonald Aquatic Center and Park

McDonald Park is located in northeast Hialeah just off Ludlam Road and east of the Palmetto Parkway.  This 17 acre park consists of a large lake, 10 reservable pavilions, playground, lighted raquetball courts and 3 lighted tennis courts.  Within the park is the affordable McDonald Aquatic Center with a wave pool, lazy river that floats under scenic waterfalls, and plenty of space in the shade.  There are funbrellas to rent for private parties and a nice size splash pad for the younger children.

Norman and Jean Reach Park

The Norman & Jean Reach Park is home to a plethora of sports fields as well as the Palm Springs North Pool.  A playground and picnic area is available to public use during the operation hours of sunrise to sunset daily.  The park is located just north of the big curve in the FL 826 Palmetto Expressway and just east of I-75.  It is just east of the Palm Springs North Elementary School.

The Miami-Dade County area is hot pretty much the entire year. At Palm Springs North Pool, the pool and splash playground are open year-round to the public.  The Palm Springs North Park & Pool is located within the Norman & Jean Reach Park.  The pool is also referred to as the Norman & Jean Reach Pool. Amenities are offered for all ages, from the very young to the elderly. Safety is the top priority, therefore many lifeguards are on duty every day.

Greynolds Park

Greynolds Park is located in northeast Miami-Dade county is west of Dixie Highway just south of Miami Gardens Drive (NE 185th St).  The park was formerly the site of a rock quarry and was donated to the county by the Ojus Rock Company back in 1936.  This 249-acre park is home to a variety of plants and animals that make their homes in the hammock and the protected mangrove habitats.

Milander Park and Stadium

Milander Park in Hialeah is a 19+ acre park that consists of an aquatic center, football stadium, sports fields and a new venue.  The park, in addition to these big amenities, also provides recreation for multiple kinds of sporting activities.  Lighted sports fields help make this park an active destination even into the evening hours.  Milander has two lighted tennis courts, two lighted basketball courts, a lit softball field, and a lit baseball diamond.

Arch Creek Park and Museum

Arch Creek Park and Museum is located in the city of North Miami just west of Biscayne Blvd. This historic park was once inhabited by several Native American tribes that lived in ancient Florida.  The oldest known tribe, the now extinct Tequesta, once made this natural stone arch their base along a popular native trail.  Artifacts from these ancient peoples were discovered on the property and preserved in a small museum along with objects left by early Florida pioneers.

Highland Oaks Park

The Highland Oaks Park in the northern Miami-Dade County houses one of the last remaining freshwater wetlands located at the headwaters of the renowned Oleta River. It is the only natural river remaining in the Miami-Dade County. The Highland Oaks Park is a huge park with a number of open fields. It is a favorite place for the athletes. The park also has boardwalks that are accessible by all, a fishing dock and trails. The most popular trails include the Black Oak Barren Trail & Spring Lake Trail.
