Pine Grove Park

Body

Pine Grove is a six acre park with a little league baseball field, including field lights, dugouts and a scoreboard, as well as a picnic pavilion. Located north of Linton Blvd and south of 10th Street this neighborhood sports park is just east of Pine Grove Elementary School. Parking and unpaved nature walk is also on site.

Intracoastal Park

Body

 A unique feature of Intracoastal Park is its access for non-motorized vessel launching; swimming is not permitted in the pond or in the Intracoastal Waterway. A Veterans Memorial by the city of Boynton Beach is located at the entrance to the park. A 1/3-mile concrete path winds around a small lake with a floating fountain. Amenities include BBQ grills, benches, pavilions, and restrooms. The Clubhouse at Intracoastal Park opened in September 2007.

Little League Park

Body

The park is home of the 2003 Little League National Champions, the East Boynton Beach Little League. In 2006, producers of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition heard about the park through applications to the show from people in the community. This was three months after damage occurred due to Hurricane Wilma in October 2005. It was the community spirit ABC saw in an audition that weighed heavily in the City's favor, producers said. The Boynton project, part of the show's After the Storm series on hurricane-damaged communities aired in the Spring of 2006.

Del Ida Park

Body

This community park is located in the historic Del Ida neighborhood in Delray Beach. Take a rest under the large shade tree or stroll around the nicely landscaped grounds. Park is best accessed on foot or by bike as there is no parking available. This would be a great pit stop while touring around by bike thru this beautiful historic neighborhood. Located on the same location is Lake Ida's "Cool Spot' which consists of a labyrinth, art, native landscaping and is lighted.

Currie Commons

Body

Currie Commons has a lighted little league field, multi-purpose field, press box, concessions, restrooms, and playground area.  It is located within a residential neighborhood and not on any main road.  Reservations for athletic fields can be made by calling Tom Kwiatek at (561) 243-7255.  Kids can enjoy playing in the large open field behind the little league field and adjacent to the the playground.  Bring a kite, frisbee or just run around and be silly! 

Wilson Park & Denson Pool

Body

There are 2 playgrounds at Wilson Park. One is for the younger kids (with swings and a safer version of a see saw) and the other is more for school age children. This park and recreation center are right behind Poinciana Elementary school so a lot of the parents and children make this their spot for afterschool play time. There are showers, changing rooms, and restrooms. The afterschool programs and summer camp are held at the Sims recreation center. Kids will enjoy slides and water buckets to splash and play. The outdoor pool is heated.

Hibiscus Park

Body

This is a small park with picnic tables, playground and an open play area. It is located off Ocean Blvd just west of I-95 at SW 1st Ave in Boynton Beach. Open sunrise to sunset.  Hibiscus Park was built in 1973 with land donated to the city by the developer of the Lake Boynton Estates neighborhood.  The playground was renovated with new equipment in 2006. 

505 Teen Center

Body

The 505 Teen Center and Hobbit Skate Park in Delray Beach was originally built in the 1950s to house the Women's Club (which still meets at the facility). It is now a wonderful place for Teens and Tweens to get together and have fun. Aside from the fun skate park, there is a recreation center that has foosball, table tennis, billiards, a recording studio, and much more.

Merritt Park

Body

Merritt Park has two lighted softball fields, 2 half-court basketball courts, playground, baseball field, and newly renovated restrooms. Reservations for athletic fields can be made by calling Tom Kwiatek at (561) 243-7255.  This Delray Beach park is open from 8 am to dusk daily.   The park is located just south of Atlantic Avenue and can be accessed from Swinton Blvd.
