Coral Villas Park is a lovely little park with an amazing play structure in Miami Dade County. This is a newer park that opened in 2013. The park was developed with lots of nice walkways and natural landscaping. The perimeter of the entire park is planted with native shrubs that require little water and care. These large shrubs provide privacy to the neighbors of the park and food for the wildlife. New Tamarind and Oak trees have been planted near the already established Oaks with the purpose of providing more beautiful and shady areas in the years to come.
The main highlight of the park is the huge 3,800 sf playground. There are two separate playgrounds here, one for ages 5-12 and a Dino Climber for ages 2-5. Your little climbers will love to come and use their energy climbing and hanging all over the place. This play system has slides, climbing cables and suspended play areas with ladders, steppers and gliders that will challenge children as they figure out how to climb their way up and down through the play system. The Evos Play System is a patented play system that is full of free form climbers designed to encourage children to play creatively and use their imaginations as they build their strength and balance while playing.
The playground has a two massive shade canopies that cover both play structures to block out the sun on a hot Florida day. The flooring is a nice, spongey fake grass floor. This is a nice change from sand and wood chips that are in most playgrounds. Other playground amenities include a free standing music play system and two separate bay swing sets.
This is a great park to bring the kids to burn off some steam. You will love the creative and fun play structures, the soft turf and most importantly the shade canopies!
