2016 Broward Memorial Day

Body

South Florida Finds has collected Memorial Day events across Broward county for our readers and listed them in the order that they will occur on Monday, May 30th 2016.  If these locations aren't closest to you, contact your local town to see if they will be having a special ceremony this year at the city's memorial.  Flag folding, presentation of colors, wreath laying, patriotic music, parades and so much more are offered this year.  Get your little ones a flag to wave in honor of those soldiers who have lost their lives defending the United States in years past.  We recommended going to earlier events in order to beat the mid-day heat!

SUNDAY before MEMORIAL DAY:  May 29th:

12pm-2pm  Butler House, 380 E. Hillsboro Blvd., Deerfield Beach

The event is part of the monthly “Sundays at the Butler House,” a series of events scheduled for the last Sunday of each month.  Formal ceremonies will take place in the backyard of the Historic Butler House under the shade of the 100-year-old banyan tree, followed with an hour-long concert by the Boogie Brothers, a popular south Florida group who will entertain with several patriotic musical selections.
