Great American Beach Party

The Annual Great American Beach Party returns on Saturday, May 27 to Fort Lauderdale Beach near A1A and Las Olas Boulevard. This free family-friendly event features live performances, a sand castle contest, kids zone, family beach games, classic cars, a DJ, art and a movie on the beach.  Most importantly, there will be a military tribute!   See who gets inducted into Fort Lauderdale’s very own Walk of Fame.

Start your summer off right AND celebrate Memorial Day the South Florida way: beachside.  Enjoy two stages of entertainment while the children enjoy face painting, hula hoop/twister/limbo contests and a good old fashioned water balloon toss.  Marvel at what artists can do with sand in the castle competition.  Pose for pictures in front of glittering classic automobiles lined up along the shore.

Entertainment

The Great American Beach Party features a complete day full of exciting activities and entertainment featuring live bands, a kids zone, DJ, sand castle contest, art show, classic car show, life-size beach games, tribute to the U.S. Armed Forces, and so much more!

Seven bands will perform live on two stages throughout the day treating crowds to a variety of surf rock, classic oldies, rock n' roll hits, country favorites, blues, soul, funk and more. Stay tuned as featured artists are announced!
