Wacky Water Day

In an effort to bring attention to local parks and to encourage families to play outdoors together, the Play Outdoors…Unplugged series has been planned by the City of Boynton Beach Recreation and Parks Department. The average American kid practically lives plugged in. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of opportunities for families to engage in both structured and unstructured play.  And the second Saturday of June is the time for play in Boynton Beach. The Recreation and Parks Department is presenting Wacky Water Day, a very special event that gets the whole family to the pool, playing together.

Wacky Water Day will be held on Saturday, June 18th at John Denson Pool, located at 225 NW 12th Ave., from 10:00 a.m.  – 12:00 p.m.  Activities will include family friendly games like Cannonball Pool Jump, Sponge Bob Pass, Water Shootout, Diving for Rings, and Water Relay Races.  A representative from the Palm Beach County Drowning Prevention Coalition will be present to provide information to participants about safe swimming.  Snacks and water will be provided.

Wacky Water Day will be held rain or shine.  Parking is free.

The monthly unplugged adventures are just what the doctor ordered!  Children like to play.  And why wouldn’t they?  It’s fun! Celebrate the outdoors at your Boynton Beach parks…marvelous places for families to play together…unplugged!
