The Marathon Community Theater is located in Marathon city in Monroe county, South Florida. It is a short distance from the Plaza Grill at 5101 Overseas Highway on Oceanside. Actually it is located in the Middle Keys and therefore, has been suitable as the host to different activities, events and productions. The theater began way back in 1944 as a small community group. It has since become famous from its several shows of many locally based and talented artists. From January to the end of the year, you can expect the most entertainment with continuous art exhibitions, live performances and cultural events.

The theater has four main stages shows, music concerts, a yearly holiday show and reading dances among other activities for you to enjoy. You can also get into the membership program for you and your family and enjoy the numerous benefits. Some of them include; voting opportunities to enter the board fraternity, invitations to the Pampered Palm celebrated at the end of the season, free dance lessons, educational workshops and opportunities to watch the shows.

In addition to having the privilege to appreciate local talent, you will also be able to see favorite and professional actors from other cities such as Los Angeles and New York. Some renowned artists are also usually in attendance. With its location at the Middle Keys, you are assured of exceptional dramas, kids’ shows, rib-cracking comedies and complete book musicals, all taking turns on stage. Making an appearance at the community theater is a great contribution to the non-profit objective of the theater. You will be improving and contributing to the cultural life of the Middle Keys community.
