Spend a special afternoon in the park with the Symphonia Players where you will hear and learn about the sounds that make up the FOUR FAMILIES of the orchestra. Not only will you be entertained by the sounds of the: String, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion families, but you will also hear musical presentations including such favorites as:  Beauty and the Beast, Under the Sea, It's a Small World After All, Mozart's Eine Kleine Nacht Music, John William's March from Star Warsand other favorites.

Enjoy some time at Sugar Sand park, playground & carousel then head over to an engaging science demo done by the staff at the Science Explorium.  

Join the Explorium staff as they dig a little deeper into some exciting scientific principles!  Spark your curiosity during these FREE 30 minute, interactive, demonstrations.  Engaging explanations combine with audience participation to create an enjoyable learning experience for everyone!  Recommended for children age 7+.

Butterflies may get most of the attention in the scientific order Lepidoptera, but moths can be just as fascinating, as you’ll readily learn when Long Key Natural Area & Nature Center in Davie celebrates the fourth annual National Moth Week by hosting Moth Day. It runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, and the emphasis will be on the importance of moths to the planet’s ecosystems.

Bring your favorite American Doll out for a special meal with Grandma or Grandpa!  The American Girl store in Miami will offer a package meal in their private room off the Bistro.  Choose an appetizer, main dish, beverage and dessert from their usual menu (see a SAMPLE menu here).  Spend the day making special memories with your granddaughter!

Saturday Night Public Viewing at Fox is offered by the South Florida Amateur Astronomer Association.  Members of the SFAAA and the public are welcome to enjoy a Saturday night under the South Florida Stars (Note: Members must display their background check badges when attending.)  The Fox Astronomical Observatory is located inside of Broward County’s Markham Park.  The Observatory is open to the public Saturdays from Sunset until midnight.

Celebrate the little things in life at the Miami Family Event, a weekend full of entertainment and fun for the entire family! This health and wellness expo will be filled with exciting events and activities, including: cooking classes, raffles and contests, live performances and surprise appearances.

The Children's Trust Family Expo, is a FREE day-long family festival at the Miami-Dade Fair and Expo Center on Saturday, September 10, 2016. It features activities and entertainment for the entire family in an effort to provide parents direct contact with health and social services, as well as educational opportunities. The event attracts more than 20,000 visitors a year.
