Enjoy an evening of art, kids’ activities, live painting, and more! Participate in workshops and get a taste of what Bootz Cultural Arts Center has to offer. ‘Love Can Change the World’ will take place on Saturday, February 13th, from 5:00 to 9:00pm. The art show will feature work from local artists, teachers, and students of Bootz Cultural Arts Center. Teachers and resident artists will give workshops and demonstrate their art throughout the evening.

The Taste of the Pines event this February 16th (Thursday) will let you indulge in tasting the best of local restaurants offering sample cuisine, desserts and wine, dancing and live music: featuring TITO PUENTE JR.  The event will be from 6pm-9pm at the Southwest Focal Point Community Center.  It promises to be an evening filled with food, wine, fun and Tito!

Celebrate Easter with the city of Pembroke Pines this year at Sundaes with the Bunny.  Join Peter Cottontail and make your own sundaes while watching a holiday show. Tickets on sale at Rose Price Park, 901 NW 208th Avenue, M-F 9am-9pm and Sat & Sun 9am-5pm. Tickets include making your own sundae, a holiday show, games & prizes and visits from Peter Cottontail. 

Budding Chess master in the house?  Moms, Dads, kids, neighbors are all welcome to challenge your local city officials in chess matches.  All ages and skill levels are welcome!  Mayors' Chess Challenges are friendly competitions that bring together elected officials, community leaders, students, families and chess players of all ages and abilities to support and celebrate scholastic and community-based chess programs. The free events, spearheaded by Sunrise Mayor Michael J.

Join the South Florida Science Center in West Palm Beach for their 12th Annual Science of Chocolate event.  This 6-hour event will feature opportunities to both taste and experiment with chocolate.

The Donald M. Ephraim Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival is the only one of it's kind in the county and one of the best in the region.  It fills over 16,000 seats across 6 different theaters in a 3-week span every January.  Films are carefully vetted and selected for each year's line up.  The Film Festival opens with a gala and grand opening at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.  Several of the showings will feature a Q & A with the Director of the film and even live performances.

A rockin' good time with stories, music and pretend play; all in the comfort of your favorite pajamas. Each month features a different theme, with fingerplays, puppets, music and stories. 3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Well, not quite, but it’s never too early to kick off a fabulous New Year’s party. Once again Miami Children’s Museum is celebrating the New Year just a little bit earlier!  Ring in the New Year (a few hours early) with a countdown TO NOON, fun crafts, a stage performance by our MCM Players and an unforgettable balloon drop!

The Historic Stranahan house in Fort Lauderdale will be decked out in Victorian splendor this holiday season.  Enjoy the festive decor with family and friends as well as an evening tour of the grounds by costumed docents.  Live music will fill the air and you can cap off the evening with a boat ride down the waterways to see holiday lights on the homes of the rich or famous. The event will take place on select evenings in December and reservations are required.
