This park used to be called Deerwood Park and was renamed for the neighboring community of Deerwood Bonita Lakes.

A.D. Barnes Park

Castellow Hammock Preserve & Nature Center

The Hammock Preserve & Nature Center was named in honor of James S. Castellow who was a farmer that claimed the 160 acres of property and made his homestead in early 1900.  He was one of south Florida’s earliest citrus farmers. He carried citrus trees from the town of Cutler. Hugh Matheson, Jr. who had purchased the property in the 1950s for land trade but then the trade never happened. In 1962, Park included the tropical hardwood forest, which was a paradise for tree botanists and snail collectors.

Chapman Field Park

The origin of the park is quite an interesting history, but what it has to offer is much more than the history itself. The 483-acre urban park is located in Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The largest part of the area still remains as mangrove swamps while the rest is the Park.



Charles Hadley Park & Aquatic Complex

Coral Villas Park

Coral Villas Park is a lovely little park with an amazing play structure in Miami Dade County. This is a newer park that opened in 2013. The park was developed with lots of nice walkways and natural landscaping. The perimeter of the entire park is planted with native shrubs that require little water and care. These large shrubs provide privacy to the neighbors of the park and food for the wildlife. New Tamarind and Oak trees have been planted near the already established Oaks with the purpose of providing more beautiful and shady areas in the years to come.

Eureka Park
