Larry & Penny Thompson Park

The Larry & Penny Thompson Park is a first class campground in Miami-Dade County. This beautiful campground is right next door to the Zoo Miami. The park is named after the late Thompsons who were avid campers and civic leaders in in South Florida. This campground is one of the last portions of leftover wilderness in Miami! The University of Miami used to own this land and there are remnants left of their old fruit groves.

Seminole Palms Park

Seminole Palms Park in Royal Palm Beach is a beautiful, 70+ acre city park in South Florida. It is full of palm trees, gorgeous athletic fields, and it even features a water park next door. They are both ran by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department. There is something for everyone at this park, from the sports enthusiast to the water lover. You will always see a nice crowd at this park. There is such a wide variety of activity at Seminole Palms, from a Senior Softball League, to youth cheerleaders, this park has it all.

Aquatics Complex

Since its refurbishment and subsequent reopening, Wellington Aquatics Complex has been a family-favorite destination because it has something for everyone. It is an easily accessible feature located along 12150 Forest Hill Boulevard in Wellington, Florida. Renowned for its Olympic-sized swimming pool, it has acquired a number of amenities that could be of interest to natives and visitors alike. First things first, the pool has been redesigned to meet the competitive standards that go into hosting meaningful swimming competitions.

Joseph C. Carter Park

Joseph C. Carter Park is located just east of I-95 off the Sunrise Blvd exit on the south side of the road.  This 21.6 acre Fort Lauderdale park has so much to offer.  It is most popular for its large lighted athletic facilities for football, track, baseball, tennis, and basketball.  J.C. Carter Park now has new pickle ball courts and raquetball to enjoy. There is an indoor gymnsasium, annex, social center, and recreation center.  Families and groups can rent pavilions located throughout the park.

Milander Park and Stadium

Milander Park in Hialeah is a 19+ acre park that consists of an aquatic center, football stadium, sports fields and a new venue.  The park, in addition to these big amenities, also provides recreation for multiple kinds of sporting activities.  Lighted sports fields help make this park an active destination even into the evening hours.  Milander has two lighted tennis courts, two lighted basketball courts, a lit softball field, and a lit baseball diamond.

Grapeland Heights Park and Water Park

Grapeland Heights Park is located in the Grapeland Heights area of Miami that runs just east of the Miami International Airport and alongside the Miami river.  This park contains the only water park in the city of Miami.  The water park is open seasonally during the warmest months and is quite popular with families.  The park itself offers year round fun with walking trails, an open green space, walking trails and a baseball field.  

McDonald Aquatic Center and Park

McDonald Park is located in northeast Hialeah just off Ludlam Road and east of the Palmetto Parkway.  This 17 acre park consists of a large lake, 10 reservable pavilions, playground, lighted raquetball courts and 3 lighted tennis courts.  Within the park is the affordable McDonald Aquatic Center with a wave pool, lazy river that floats under scenic waterfalls, and plenty of space in the shade.  There are funbrellas to rent for private parties and a nice size splash pad for the younger children.

Topeekeegee Yugnee Park - TY Park

Topeekeegee Yugnee Park, commonly referred to as "TY Park", is a 138+-acre park in Hollywood that means "gathering place" in the native Seminole language.   TY Park has many amenities including picnic shelters, a Fitness Zone, playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, and volleyball.  A two-mile loop of paved pathways around the park are perfect for walking, jogging, skating, and biking.

C.B. Smith Park
