Empire Park

If you are looking for a quiet place to spend a few hours with your family, Empire Park in Greenacres is a nice small 2+ acre park with just the amenities you need to have a fun-filled time together. Empire Park is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and has plenty of shade for our warm South Florida days. Empire has it's playground equipment and picnic shelters inside of a completely enclosed fenced area making it much safer for little ones who may not yet know to stay out of the street.

Outside of the enclosed area is a path that runs along the pond with several benches for sitting and reflecting in quiet. This well kept park is a perfect secluded spot for a family picnic or maybe an after dinner outing. While it does not have all of the bells and whistles of a major "mega park" it makes up for that by being less crowded and less intimidating for youngsters. Bring some food to grill and maybe a frisbee or football to toss around. The kids will have such a great time that they won't want to go home. The park is open from sunrise to sunset and there are plenty of spaces for parking along Empire Way. Please note that there are no restroom facilities so maybe bring the potty along in the car.
