Fig Tree Park is located in the town of Plantation. It is beautifully set on the edge of the canal, making for pleasant scenery. The large amount of green space provides many options for activities. For the athletes in your family, they will enjoy getting full use out of the basketball courts and baseball fields. For the more casual gamers there is plenty of open space to toss around a football, kick around a soccer ball, play some frisbee or even fly a kite. The play area is relatively new since it had to be rebuilt after Hurricane Wilma. But it has resulted in nice, safe and modern play equipment for children of any age. The area is complete with standard features like slides and swings but also includes some unique climbing features that your little ones will love. Some of the other ammenities include benches and restrooms so that you don't have to worry about leaving when nature calls. There is also a covered picnic table area so that you can bring along some snacks and drinks to maximize your playing time.

If you want to have a more official party with your family and friends you have the option to rent the pavilion space. This option has room for up to 50 people making it perfect for graduations, anniversaries, baby showers or anything else you wish to celebrate. Perhaps the most special feature of this location is the gorgeous tree in the park. It is one of the few trees here but is very unique and perfect for climbing and getting closer to nature. Your children (and you) will love spending time on this magnificent tree. This park definitely has a lot to offer and will likely become your new favorite destination to enjoy a day with your family.
