YOU ARE INVITED to National Night Out on August 1, 2017! 

The Delray Beach Police Department is inviting residents to attend a neighborhood party to celebrate National Night Out, “America’s Night Out Against Crime.”  

It is fun, dynamic, family-friendly event, which is part of a national campaign to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. 

14th Annual Family Fun Day at Pompey Park in Delray Beach will happen just in time for the start of school.  Kids can come and get a FREE haircut, free school supplies and more!  Enjoy the Kid Zone and food trucks.  There will be performances by local community groups as well as DJ music throughout the event. Bring your swimsuit and visit the nearby Pompey Pool if things get too hot!

Join the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum for their Annual Juneteenth Celebration!

Festival-goers will enjoy live music, artistic expressions and demonstrations, belly dancing, drumming, story-telling, speakers and food inside the comfort of the Fieldhouse.  New this year, the musical entertainment will be headlined by Lafayette Gilchrist with Drew Tucker.

Enjoy an evening as light as air and so much fun for the little ones.  City Place in West Palm Beach will be dropping lots and lots of BUBBLES down upon their main courtyard area.  At 6pm, 7pm & 8pm on select dates, kids can dance, prance, and cavort amongst these giggly bubbles.  Let the kids feel a part of the fun and bring along some bubble blowers from home too.  Stay and enjoy bowling, a movie, a nice dinner or the free outdoor concerts held on weekend evenings (7pm) in the same area.

Laser shows are back at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami! On the first Friday of every month, you’re invited to explore the museum after hours and take a seat in the Frost Planetarium for a show that’s quite unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. From Michael Jackson to Pink Floyd, we’re fusing music from some of the greatest artists of our time with mesmerizing laser light visuals, all under the 67-foot dome of the Frost Planetarium—one of the world’s most advanced!

During the first Sunday of every month, join the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science for a special experience. Meet and greet with local scientists who are experts in a variety of fields, including marine biology, climate and weather, software engineering, the brain, primatology, the ocean, and much more. Trained through the Museum’s Science Communication Fellows Program, these scientists developed exciting hands-on activities for visitors to discover what they do and why it is so important.

Spend a special afternoon in the park with the Symphonia Players where you will hear and learn about the sounds that make up the FOUR FAMILIES of the orchestra. Not only will you be entertained by the sounds of the: String, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion families, but you will also hear musical presentations including such favorites as:  Beauty and the Beast, Under the Sea, It's a Small World After All, Mozart's Eine Kleine Nacht Music, John William's March from Star Warsand other favorites.

Enjoy some time at Sugar Sand park, playground & carousel then head over to an engaging science demo done by the staff at the Science Explorium.  

Join the Explorium staff as they dig a little deeper into some exciting scientific principles!  Spark your curiosity during these FREE 30 minute, interactive, demonstrations.  Engaging explanations combine with audience participation to create an enjoyable learning experience for everyone!  Recommended for children age 7+.

4th of July Spectacular on Fort Lauderdale Beach will be a holiday to remember. Celebrate America's Independence Day at the City of Fort Lauderdale's free 4th of July Spectacular presented by Zimmerman Advertising!  The Independence Day Celebration will feature a patriotic extravaganza featuring live bands, a kids zone, beach games, contests, family activities and a dazzling fireworks display. The 4th of July Spectacular takes place on Monday, July 4 from 12:00 to 9:30 p.m.

Cool off and boogie into the evening when the sun goes down and the evening breezes blow in from the shore.  Delray Beach Center for the Arts will be hosting open air concerts through July for FREE.  Let the series help you kick off your 4th of july weekend with it's 1st July 3rd concert featuring Higher Ground.
