Annual Street Painting Festival

This wonderful Annual Street Painting Festival in Lake Worth is an event to visit twice!  Come on Saturday and watch as the art starts on the asphalt then return on Sunday to see the finished projects. This is one of the largest chalk art festivals in the nation. The streets close and the artists get down and dirty with pastels developing very complex works of art. It is truly amazing to watch the process of how these works are done. Be sure to visit the Young Artists Studio where local elementary, middle and high school students get to show off their talent at the event.  Participating schools include: Woodlands Middle School, Park Vista High School, Suncoast Community High School and many many more.  Your child may be inspired to show off their own creativity.  Take them over to the Children's Meadow where children under the age of 12 will be given materials and their own assigned space to decorate just like the professional artists!

Sidewalk art actually originated in 16th century Italy.  Watch how the tradition continues when over 400 modern day artists come out to share almost 200 works of art sponsored by local businesses, families, and more.  Enjoy the festival food or pop into one of the restaurants along the avenue for a treat!  Street performers, strolling minstrels and Mainstage musical entertainment add to the creative atmosphere.  Live performances will be held on the main stage locarted at the Lake Worth City Hall Annex Cultural Plaza. See the scheduled list of performers below.
