Eyes to the Skies

Children's Science Explorium is holding this FREE event in the parking lot behind the Explorium (weather permitting). They'll explore the skies with a professional-grade 16-inch Meade LX Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. All children under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. No registration required. Stars must be visible (clear skies) for the telescope to align.

(Recommended for Ages 8+)

In the event of bad weather, there will be a fun demonstration and a fantastic journey with the stars in their inflatable planetarium.  These informal events are held in the Camino parking lot behind the Explorium.

  • The telescope will be out for at least one hour after the scheduled start time (weather permitting).
  • Stars must be visible for the telescope to align.
