Annual Take Stock in Children Challenge

Do you love to fish and love children?  Come out to the Upper Keys for this wonderful "Backcountry Challenge" benefitting Take Stock in Children Scholarships and local Rotary student scholarships.  Hosted by Key Largo Rotary Club this will be a catch--take big cheesy grin photos--then release event. This year's theme is "Be a Gift to the World".  You'll be on the hunt for trout, snook and redfish during this 3-day event. Prizes include First, Second and Third place Redfish, Snook and Trout in Adult division; Back Country Champion; Top Professional Angler in Pro Division; Top Guide and Youth Awards.

The Captains Meeting, tournament kickoff and awards dinner are open to all. The weekend is set to begin at 5 pm, Friday, Sept. 23rd at Jimmy Johnson’s Big Chill, mile marker 104 bayside.  Get your bait, tackle and gear ready to begin fishing on Saturday morning and continue straight through 4 pm Sunday, September 25th. An awards celebration, with both live and silent auctions, will start at 6 pm.
