Bridges Competition

Construct a bridge with KEVA planks that can hold the most weight.

On Friday, October 26th, guests are invited to put on their favorite costume and get into the Halloween spirit for an evening of artful, frightful fun for the entire family at Young At Art Museum. This museum-wide party features Halloween-themed Art Activities including Finger Puppet Creatures, Monster Puppets, and a Spooky I-SPY Activity, Monster Mash Music Time; Colorful Costume Parade, Family Costume Contest and more!

Listed as one of South Florida’s must-see Halloween events year after year, the annual Spirits of Stranahan House Halloween Ghost Tours return on October 25, 26, 29 and 30. The evening tour, guided by authentic Victorian Mourners, will divulge the secrets of the spirits who linger within the confines of Fort Lauderdale’s oldest and most historic home. Hear the haunting tales of some of South Florida’s famous residents and local paranormal lore. You may even come across the spirit of Frank Stranahan himself!

Tri-Rail, South Florida’s premier commuter rail system, invites talented kids ages 5 to 17 to audition for “South Florida’s Kids Got Talent,” a singing competition held as part of Tri-Rail’s “Rail Fun Day.” Young singers from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties are encouraged to audition for the chance to compete in the judged event.

Promenade at Coconut Creek is the destination for the newest show in American Craft Endeavors’ (ACE) season line-up. Thousands of hand-made, craft artisan creations will fill the street between Sleep Number and Guitar Center on Saturday and Sunday, October 13 and 14 from 10 am to 5 pm. Residents and visitors can peruse thousands of handcrafted-in-the-USA items.

Colleen Smith, Artistic Director of Ballet Palm Beach announced several upcoming dance events for children and teens presented by the highly acclaimed professional ballet company. “Ongoing engagement with the younger generation is one of the critical missions of Ballet Palm Beach,” says Smith. “Along with the performance and training opportunities that we offer young aspiring dancers through our academy, we will also be presenting a series of special events geared specifically to children and teenagers.”
