Not many parks you visit used to be a graveyard! Barton Memorial Park in Boynton Beach still has some old graves (most were relocated to another local cemetary in order to make this a park). Why move graves? I-95.  In order to make room for the highway they needed to clear the cemetary.  The land was leased from the Florida Department of Transportation by the City starting in 1978. The park consists of 6.4 acres.   There is a nature trail and open play area for recreation on site.

This is designated by the city of Boynton Beach as a  "neighborhood" park.  The park is situated in a residential neighborhood and has limited parking.  The best way to find it is to take Seacrest Blvd south of Woolbright to SE 28th Ave. Go east on 28th it forks into 28th Ct and 28th Ave. Doesn't matter which one you take, just keep going east to SE 2nd and then turn left (north) on 2nd and you'll see it on your right. This is a relatively new park that was dedicated in 2007. The park is open from sunrise to 9pm.

This is a neighborhood park that is maintained by the city of Boynton Beach. There is approximately 8 parking spaces and no restrooms. Mainly used by neighborhood families it can be a nice quiet place to play or take bike rides. There is a large open field adjacent to the playground that's great for frisbee, football, or soccer games. The playground equipment is mostly for younger kids and the pavilion is very small so not for party use. Swings are both infant and normal so older kids and adults may also swing. Built on over 64 acres that include 3.2 lake acres, Caloosa Park in Boynton Beach is a great place to have fun with your family. The park offers many amenities that include: walking paths, tennis courts, softball
fields, lighted roller rink, racquetball court, a playground for children aged 2 - 12 years, pickleball courts, a group picnic pavilion, picnic areas with grills, pickleball courts, stocked freshwater lake for fishing, an
exercise course, a bicycle path and basketball courts.

The Tennis Center and  Barrier Free Park were built by the city of Boynton Beach in multiple phases and the project has yet to be completed. There are 17 Har-Tru and four composite courts. Adjacent to the tennis courts and the Pro-Shop are canopy areas with tables and chairs. The west side of the property backs up to a lake and in the center of the property is a small pond. There are wetlands on the property planted with native vegetation.

Serving the east Boynton Beach community, The Ezell Hester Jr Community Park has a bright fun playground, basketball courts, tennis, raquetball, nature trail, football, cricket, baseball, a recreation center with programming, gazebo, pavilions, and much more. Right on Seacrest Blvd you can't miss the park.

This park is tucked up against a barrier wall for I-95. It has a small parking area and is pretty deep into it's surrounding neighborhood.  When you turn into the neighborhood, keep all the way alongside I-95 and you can't miss it. The gate for the fenced in area is located close to the exit onto the street so be sure to keep a close eye on children playing.  The park stretches out from the playground into a shaded open area.  Quiet and secluded so be aware of your surroundings when visiting this neighborhood recreation area.

This park is adjacent to the Galaxy Elementary School parking lot right on Boynton Beach Blvd east of I-95. You can see it from Boynton Beach Blvd but there is NO ENTRANCE there. You need to go further east to NW 4th Street and head north. You then head back toward I-95 on 4th ave which turns into Galaxy Way. They just recently re-did the playground and it is very colorful and inviting. Lighted areas of the park are open until 10pm otherwise it's sun up to sun down hours for the rest of the park.
