C.B. (Charlie Barney) Smith Park is one of the most popular public county parks in Broward.  It is located in the southwestern city of Pembroke Pines on a 299-acres plot of land.  C.B. Smith is chock full of wonderful recreation opportunities from the spacious Paradise Cove water park to golf and much more.

Named for a Pembroke Pines City Commissioner, the William B. Armstrong Dream Park opened in 2001. The six-acre area features long, wandering walkways which encourage placid strolls among arbors of flowers. Platforms offer picturesque overlooks of water, waterfalls and natural foliage which is native to South Florida. The park is appropriate for all ages. Although there is no playground equipment, youngsters can find plenty of open space to run and play. Families can enjoy picnicking and visiting in the great Florida weather.

Brian Picolo Park & Velodrome was named after a local Ft. Lauderdale kid who made pro with the NFL.  Brian Piccolo was a player for the Chicago Bears after getting his fundamentals playing in Ft. Lauderdale as a youth, this park is his local legacy.

Located in Davie, Florida Tree Tops Park is a natural park that was created in 1980. The park sits on a 243.3 acres piece of land that was originally earmarked to be a golf course before Broward County intervened. The park is the gateway to the Pine Island Ridge Natural Area. Pine Island Ridge Park is the highest natural elevation at 29 feet above sea level and is an archealogical site characterized by equestrian and nature trails. This former dairy farm is characterized by oak trees and walking trails.

Driftwood Community Pool, also known as a Myrtha Teaching Pool,  in Hollywood, FL is a municipal outdoor swimming pool that is available for public use. This beautiful leisure and sporting pool is located at 3000 N. 69th avenue; it is easy to spot. The pool offers a lot of services to both adults and kids, making it one of the most popular swimming places in Hollywood.

The new family-friendly North Pointe Community Center in Miami-Dade County, FL., is a great place to go for a family day out with the kids. With a wide range of activities on offer, including a massive splash playground with slides, jets, water cannons and rain curtains it's a great place to cool off! Vista View Park is a gorgeous park located in the Town of Davie in Broward County. This park has 272 acres of rolling hills and meadows. The park was created with nature in mind. Landscapers created three native habitats to the park: Dry prairie, mesic flatwoods, and hammock using plants native to the area. The hope is that more animals will make this park their natural habitat. This park is a popular location for outdoor enthusiasts and families who love to try different activities.
