Meadows Park

Body

Designed as a neighborhood park by the city of Boynton Beach for the Meadows neighborhood this is a popular park that has something for everyone. Popular park but not over-crowded, great way to meet neighbors. Amenities Basketball court, BBQ grills, benches, bike rack, bocce court, drinking fountain, fitness trail (1/2-mile path with 11-exercise stations), gazebo, open play area, pavilion, picnic tables, playground, rental shelters, tennis courts, volleyball court. Hours: Sunrise- Sunset;lighted facilites open until 10:00 p.m.

Knollwood Park

Years ago this land used to belong to a beautiful fruit orchard. They had wonderful little tram tours of the land and a farmer's market. Development came and in it's place, a housing development. Part of the new development agreement was to have this public neighborhood park at the entrance, right on Lawrence road just north of Gateway blvd. Constructed by D.R. Horton as part of the Knollwood Development, the park provides a passive park with a pond plus littoral zone plantings to attract wildlife and various environmental interpretative features. There's a gazebo and a little trail.

Boynton Lakes Park

This is a neighborhood park that is maintained by the city of Boynton Beach. There is approximately 8 parking spaces and no restrooms. Mainly used by neighborhood families it can be a nice quiet place to play or take bike rides. There is a large open field adjacent to the playground that's great for frisbee, football, or soccer games. The playground equipment is mostly for younger kids and the pavilion is very small so not for party use. Swings are both infant and normal so older kids and adults may also swing. Thompson River Linear Park

Body

Thompson River Linear Park is connected to Plant Drive and Lilac Parks nearby.  This is a pleasant waterside park with a walking/jogging trail, canoe access and a fishing area. Opportunities for a leisurely sit on shaded benches to read or people watch are available.

Oaks Park

Body

Oaks Park in Palm Beach Gardens has a hard clay exercise jogging trail, large party pavilions, and some lighted tennis courts. Close to the Gardens Hospital and St. Mark's school, this is a small neighborhood park that is perfect for a little bit of outdoor recreation. It is almost 12 acres of park and the walking trail is mostly shaded.  Be aware that there are no restroom facilities.

Mirasol Park

This park is truly hidden! It is in odd spot on "Jog Road"--not to be confused with the main North/South artery in south county--it is a road that twists and turns in a roundabout into an East/West road. Great little park to hold a little one's birthday party because there are pavillions and a nice playground. It's actually in the entrance to the MIRASOL housing development on PGA Blvd.

Lilac Park & Dog Run

Set back from the main drag of Military Trail in a suburban area of Palm Beach Gardens is the Lilac Park.  The park was completed in conjunction with the Palm Beach County School District for their needs but is open to the public.  Lilac Park has many new facilities.  The park features a new double-sized multipurpose field, playgrounds, 2 picnic pavilions,exercise trail and restroom facilities.  The Dog Park has a new “little dog” area exclusively for smaller breeds under 30 lbs.  The park also has a regulation size b

Lake Catherine Park

Lake Catherine Park is located on east side MacArthur Boulevard just north of Northlake Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens.  The picturesque lakeside half mile red dirt jogging trail takes a loop around this park. Plenty of shade trees are along the trail but there are spots without shade so be sure to be prepared. Right across the street is the Lake Catherine Sports complex with the all-important restroom facilities as well as play area and sports fields.

City Park

Body

City Park in Palm Beach Gardens is located at the end of the road and across from the tennis center.  This municipal park has tons of space for Raquetball, basketball and tennis. There is a short nature trail thru the forest area but, otherwise, not much shade at this park. The park contains a picnic pavilion, restrooms, small playground, basketball courts, handball courts,  two hard surface tennis courts, bicycle path, exercise trail and a  0.25 mile nature trail.

Mike Machek Boy Scout Park

The Mike Machek Boy Scout Park was completely renovated as part of the 24 million dollar Parks, Recreation and Cultural Bond referendum voted on, on January 20, 2004. The Park is a little less than 5 acres and includes a playground, picnic pavilion and tables, fitness trail, bathrooms, water fountain and barbecue grills.  The play areas have a minimal barrier btween it and Lake Ida road which can be heavily trafficked at certain hours of the day. Located between Trinity Lutheran School/Church and SD Spady Elementary School.
