Sensory Saturday at MCM
Great sensory experiences await you and your child at the Miami Children's Museum in this special event set aside for children with sensory processing disorders and their families. Lights and sounds will be dimmed to create a comfortable environment for your little ones to explore. Participate in sensory based activities, such as bubble painting, and watch a sensory-friendly stage performance. Meet community professionals, such as an occupational therapist and a speech pathologist. Pre-registration is required.

Target Free Fridays
Target Corporation is offering FREE entrance to the Miami Children's Museum on the 3rd Friday of every month now through the end of 2017. Since "free" tends to attract crowds especially to a popular spot like the Children's Museum, please be sure to come early (or late) to avoid the crowds. The free admission is from 3pm to 9pm. Please leave strollers in the car or at home due on these evenings.

Back to School Bash
School is almost here! Get your brain waves working with some fun activities to help you start the year on the right foot. Come in to the Miami Children's Museum and let the kids decorate their own bookmark and pencil case and participate in a backpack relay race! Practice your science skills in a fun experiment and enjoy performances based on children’s literature by the MCM Players.

Annual HangOut Day NFL Youth Football & Cheerleading Camp
NFL Alumni Max Jean-Gilles has teamed up with Jemmy Jasmin and the Stars of Tommorrow Foundation, the City of North Miami Beach, Fish Grease Restaurant, and SouthPromo.com to host the 6th Annual HangOut Day NFL Youth Football & Cheerleading Camp, a Free event being held at the Allen Deleonardis Youth Center located at 1770 NE 162nd Street on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 8AM – 3PM.
International Coastal Cleanup in Juno
Be a part of the International Coastal Clean-up on Saturday, September 17th! Register to cleanup with the Loggerhead Marine Life Center. The first 100 to fill out the registration form and bring it to the clean-up will receive a Free T-Shirt!
Please bring your own bucket and garden or kitchen gloves. LMC will have bags and gloves available but they are trying to eliminate their use in the clean ups. The goal is to become a completely “green” or, in this case, “blue” beach clean up group.

Pier Fishing Program
Join the Loggerhead Marine Life Center for their Kid's Pier Fishing Program on July 23rd from 8 am at the Juno fishing pier. Participants will learn basic techniques for fishing from both a beach and a fishing pier including knot tying, casting, species identification, and proper release protocols. In addition to fishing skills, participants will learn to be ethical anglers. Limited space available.

Hatchling Releases
Do you want to watch as adorable hatchling sea turtles waddle their way to the open ocean? Join the Loggerhead Marine Life Center as they release hatchlings on select evenings this August. The program begins with an exclusive, behind-the-gate tour to meet our current sea turtle patients, followed by a presentation and ends with a trip to the beach to see LMC staff release sea turtle hatchlings into the ocean. This is a memorable and informative opportunity for families to be apart of this magical experience.

Biologist Beach Walks
Sea turtle Hatchlings are here! The Biologist Beach Walk program at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center will last 9 weeks beginning the first week of August and run through the end of September. The program will be offered three days a week: Wednesday, Friday, Sunday. Times: 6:45 am - 8:30 am. Get up early and don't miss this unforgettable experience!

South Florida Italian Festival Star Search
This is the 4th stop in the search for a Star to perform at the South Florida Italian Festival in October. Contestants must bring their own tracks and will get to sing 2 songs to compete against others. A fun night. Even if you do not sing, come on out and enjoy the entertainment!
