Colleen Smith, Artistic Director of Ballet Palm Beach announced several upcoming dance events for children and teens presented by the highly acclaimed professional ballet company. “Ongoing engagement with the younger generation is one of the critical missions of Ballet Palm Beach,” says Smith. “Along with the performance and training opportunities that we offer young aspiring dancers through our academy, we will also be presenting a series of special events geared specifically to children and teenagers.”

The Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts will be open on occasional Saturdays through the new season. Save the date for the first Saturday opening on October 27 when we will be opening our new Fantastique exhibition and enjoying Halloween revels at WMODA. The Pioneer Family Farmstead Day will provide visitors an opportunity to experience old time Florida circa late 1800's through the early 1900's. Explore a winter ice cavern where everything is made of ice, including the glasses you drink out of! Make this Halloween one you’ll never forget as you meet Polar Bears, Spooky Ghosts, and maybe even Elsa from Frozen! Children will receive a complimentary trick or treat bag along with a “mocktail” while exploring our winter cavern. Children will be fitted with a winter coat, gloves, hats and shoes if necessary.

Visitors are invited to cool off and join the fun at Florida Power & Light Company’s Cooling Station this Sept. 9-10 at the Museum Plaza of the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami’s Museum Park.
