On Saturday, April 22, 2017 the Town of Davie, partnering with Joana Bueno Productions, LLC and Davie Pro Rodeo will host the Festival of the Americas, featuring a Bull Riding Event & Concert at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds.

Celebrate the season with local foods and the gorgeous Fairchild Botanical gardens they grow in. Learn tips to keep your garden thriving during the summer months, pick up a trick from local chefs at a cooking demonstration, shop artisan vendors or pick up delicious foods from local vendors. And, take home a spectacular plant from our 37th Annual Spring Plant Sale.

The 10th Annual PigOut N Deerfield Beach BBQ Competition will be held on April 22nd this year at the Quiet Waters Park.  Don't miss this barbecue competition that includes both backyard and professional cookers! Categories will include chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket, with the winner in each category determined by a panel of judges. Everyone attending the event will have the opportunity to sample all entries and vote for the People's Choice Winner.

The Hialeah Eggtravaganza has one of the largest egg hunts in the nation with 50,000 eggs to find.  Kids have a blast hunting eggs, riding carnival rides, and burning off the sugar in bounce houses.  The Kid Zone will also have face painting and other activities.  Local kids groups dance and do other performances making this a special local community event.  Check out their recap video from their 2015 event on Youtube.  The event is held at the city's Goodlet Park on April 15th.

Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach will be having special events ON Easter Sunday for families at their Cool Corner Family Bistro.  They will have 3 Egg Hunts at 12, 3 and 6pm.  Be sure to catch the Easter Bunny at 5 pm and Peter Pan with Tinker Bell.  Great photo opportunities will be available as well as a live show!  Games and activities for the children will be on hand as well as yummy treats!
