DragonFest is Palm Beach Zoo's annual celebration of the Chinese New Year!  This year is the year of the Red Chicken.  Join in for great fun and great wishes for the new year!  We'll have a DJ, crafts, face painting, and the always amazing Dragon and Lion Dances by John Wai Kung Fu Academy along with a marial arts demonstration! Be sure to visit their resident modern day dragon...the Komodo dragon.  

Noon Year's Eve Celebration

Ring in the New Year like never before at Palm Beach Zoo's fourth annual Noon Year's Eve Celebration with your furry, feathered, and scaly friends! Join us for our children's dance party in the Fountain Plaza where they can get their face painted and join us leading up to 12 noon as we celebrate the New Year with an apple juice toast and "alligator ball" drop fit for children of all ages! This event is included with regular zoo admission. 

Fort Lauderdale Orange Bowl Downtown Countdown

The Fort Lauderdale Orange Bowl Downtown Countdown has been touted as one of the largest New Year’s Eve celebrations in Florida, this year’s free street festival is full of fun and excitement for both children and adults. The spectacular celebration will feature a variety of activities for the whole family until 8:30 p.m. including a kids countdown at 7:00 p.m. The festivities for kids include bounce houses/inflatables, face painting and games, contests and dancing with the DJ. Then live music kicks off at 8:00 p.m.

Dia De Los Muertos Lake Worth

The Day of the Dead will be celebrated this year in Lakw Worth, Palm Beach County.  Enjoy some of the traditional activities celebrated in Mexico for this special holiday right here in South Florida.  There will be a procession and several  ofrendas (alters for the deceased) at this event.  OFrendas typically will have various traditional symbols on them and honor specfic deceased. Look for marigolds, sugar skulls, and personal mementos of the deceased.

Griot Fest: The Haitian Food Festival

Sunset Cove Amphitheater in western Boca Raton will hold the 2016 Griot Fest: The Haitian Food Festival on October 29th opening at 4pm.

Hollyweird Halloween Block Party

Back for its second year, Hollyweird Halloween features family friendly entertainment from 6-9pm, including trick or treating, live music, candy stations, playground, magic show, balloon twisters, face painting, and a children's costume contest with prizes. From 9pm - 2am, the party continues with live bands, outdoor bars and adult costume contests with prizes.

South Florida Seafood Festival

Teal 5K RUN FUN WALK

Marathon Keys 4th of July

The Rotary Club of Marathon puts on one of the Keys' largest and longest fireworks displays from Sombrero Beach. The party starts earlier, though, with drinks and for for sale, kids activities, and live Music: Free Admission.

The annual parade starts at 11 am, following a route from Marahton High School on Sombrero Beach Road to the Beachfront. Prizes will be awarded for the most spiritied, most patriotic, best overall, best decorated bicycle abd bvest decorated car. To register a float, ccall 305-900-0749.
