At the Schoolhouse Children’s Museum in Boynton Beach, children experience South Florida history through two floors of hands-on, interactive exhibits that provide a glimpse of life for early Florida Pioneers. To build, create and, ultimately survive, early Florida settlers had to take advantage of the physical resources around them.

AMF Boynton Beach Lanes

AMF Boynton Beach Lanes is located just east of Congress on Boynton Beach Boulevard.  The only entrance runs next to the busy Dunkin Donuts and is accessed from Boynton Beach Blvd.  The Lanes are host to private events like birthday parties and to local bowling leagues.  There is an arcade and a concessions food area on premises as well as a bar.  The Lanes are open daily from 9am and until 1 am Friday/Saturday.   Bowling shoes can be rented, wear socks.

Chuck E. Cheese Boynton Beach

Chuck E. Cheese is an indoor gaming facility for children.  The location hosts birthday parties and also walk-in clientele.  Games for toddlers up to pre-teen are available for play.  The mouse mascot Chuck E. will make appearances and shake hands with the children.  Each game takes one token which is about $ .25 each.  There are tickets given which can be redeemed for small prizes.  Chuck E. Cheese serves pizza, sandwiches, salad, wings, fountain drinks and beer.

Aqua Crest Pool

This public pool in northeast Delray Beach is located off Seacrest Blvd south of Woolbright. It is a 50 meter pool with a diving well. Two diving boards are available at different heights. The pool is heated and there is a non-heated infant pool. Inside the pool area is a small playground for younger children. The facility can be rented for private events and plays host to Swim competitions. Call the pool to learn about lessons and other programs.

A Barrel O' Monkeys

A Barrel O' Monkeys in Delray Beach, Palm Beach County offers a wide variety of educational and fun activities for children age six months to eight years of age and their guardians. Recognizing the lack of child friendly activities in the area, Ms. Tory Ross began to entertain the idea of implementing a children's play house that would not only meet the community need but would also be educational and fun.

Putt n Around

Putt'n Around is a family friendly miniature golf course located close to the vibrant downtown Delray Beach area.  This attraction is less than 5 blocks North of Atlantic Avenue on Southbound Federal Highway (near NE 4th Avenue/Lake Ida Road).   18 or 36 hole course in tropical setting.  Patio area can be rented for private events. 100% wheelchair and stroller accessible.  Snacks and treats available on site as well as beer & wine.

Silverball Museum

Love to visit Delray Beach and looking for something more to do than stroll along the beach and have dinner?  The Silverball Museum will be a new attraction in the heart of downtown Delray Beach.  The Silverball Museum will feature 150 arcade games including vintage pinball machines as well as classic vintage arcade games.  Bring out the kids in a head-to-head match up against the grandparents or have a fun adult night out!  Prices are per half hour or for the day.

Delray Beach Historical Society

The Delray Beach Historical Society museum and gardens is located at the corner of Swinton Ave and NE 1st Street just one block north of bustling Atlantic Avenue.

The Delray Beach Historical Society was established in 1964 and consists of a cluster of old Florida cottages on a lush campus.

Call ahead to check for hours or to schedule a docent lead tour. School groups, homeschoolers and visitors of all ages can learn the fascinating history of this South Florida town.

Cornell Museum of Art and American Culture

The first floor houses two large galleries and the Angelique Tea Room, which is used for classes, receptions and other special events. The second floor, which can be accessed by two grand staircases (or an elevator) has three exhibition galleries and the children’s interactive gallery.  

Exhibits rotate every three to four months and feature an eclectic mix of local, national and international fine art, crafts and pop culture.
