Coral Gables Museum

The Coral Gables Museum in Miami-Dade county was opened to the public in 2011 after the management was given permission to occupy the city's historic fire and police station building.  The building which houses the museum is listed among the historical buildings in the city of Coral Cables and is beautifully decorated with coral cables.The idea for the museum started in mid 1990's when a group of architects, artists and cultural insiders came together.

Lowe Art Museum

The Lowe Art Museum in Coral Gables is part of the esteemed University of Miami campus. The Lowe is the largest collecting art museum in the South Florida region and one of only a few in the entire state with such a far-reaching collection. The Lowe contains about 5,000 years of world art in stimulating exhibits. Bring the kids over to experience what different cultures have created to express themselves all while in the cool comfort of air conditioning.

Venetian Pool

The Venetian Pool is an aquatic facility unlike any other in the country. It has been enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world, and is still one of the main tourist attractions for those visiting the City of Coral Gables.

The pool was created in 1923 from a coral rock quarry, where much of the original coral rock was used to border and further accentuate the pool. It also features two large historic lookout towers, with a view to the City Beautiful.

The Kampong

What started as the personal garden of renowned plant explorer David Fairchild in 1916 has grown into a magical oasis in the Coconut Grove area of Miami, in Miami-Dade County. Between his time as an explorer and his time working for the United States Department of Agriculture as the Head of the Foreign Seed and Plant Introduction Office, Fairchild introduced approximately 30,000 new species of plants to America.

Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science

The Miami Museum of Science and Planetarium was one of the first museums in Miami, founded in 1949.  It has now become the Patricia and Philip Frost Museum of Science.  This one of a kind museum is located in Miami Dade county and will be located (after summer 2016) at the newly created Museum Park on the Bay in downtown Miami.
