Body

If you are a visitor to South Florida, or a resident looking to take your family somewhere fun for the day, checking out some of the amazing South Florida beaches with playgrounds will give everyone something fun to do. There are beaches all over Florida, so we've compiled a list of some of the best that not only offer swimming and other beach activities, but also playgrounds for young kids to enjoy.

Some of the best we've found, in no particular order, are:

1. Crandon Park - located in Key Biscayne, Florida, in Miami-Dade County, this beach has some of the best amenities you could hope to find. Not only is there a playground for the little ones, you'll find a carousel, an outdoor roller rink and a splash fountain. There are nature trails to walk on and observe some of South Florida's native wildlife species. The beaches of Crandon are protected from the usually powerful crashing surf by an offshore sandbar, and are consistently named one of the top ten beaches in America. There are kayaks and cabanas to rent, ample parking, and numerous picnic areas with grills. Not too far from the beach you will also find Crandon's Family Amusement Center and the Crandon Golf Course. There are so many things to do, you will most certainly want to come back for more than just one day.

2. DuBois Park - Jupiter, Florida, in Palm Beach County is where you will find this fantastic beach. It has not only a guarded swim area during daylight hours, but also a snorkel lagoon, something that is not as common. Take your children to the playground, with a play area suitable to children 5-12 years of age. Park your boat in one of the 17 available boat slips after a day of fishing, and then come to the picnic area and grill up some food for the family. If you are planning a big event, you can always rent the large covered pavilion. At the end of the day, hit the outdoor showers to clean up before you head home. You'll definitely be back.
